He is adorable!<br />Everyone seems so excited and joyful, too! I want to thank you all for celebrating with us; there were so many fireworks, huge nationwide gatherings, tons of parties, and many other exciting festivities. We are so touched and honored! Wow! Even the next morning I could hear some pops and booms from some extended revelers. You all are the best!<br />Micah came in at 8lbs 21.5" We figure the stork must have traveled pretty far because Micah is pretty jet lagged, mostly sleeping, eating, and crying from time to time.<br />Keep the new family in your prayers as they adjust to diaper changes and 3am feedings. Wow! This past week I drove up the 5 to visit a wonderful friend and see the sites of the bay. While it rained in LA I had clear days, breathtaking views, and perfect weather for exploring the city on foot. After one of the best deep dish pizzas I've ever eaten (thanks Jenny!) and a good night's rest my whirlwind tour began. I only had three days, but I hit the big stuff: Alcatraz, Lombard Street, China Town, Fisherman's Wharf, Legion of Honor (not a Superhero club, bummer!), walked across the Golden Gate Bridge, Palace of Fine Arts, Fort Mason, Ghirardelli Square, and many other little sites along the way.<br />It was great to walk, but my Uncle Phil was sure I rode almost all of SF's transportation options: car, bus, cable car, street car, and of course the BArt.
